We Are Ready For Battle Against Nigeria: South Africa Coach

Shakes Mashaba ready to go all out against Nigeria after South Africa's 3-0 win over Sudan in Khartoum on Friday

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are currently in Cape Town for Wednesday’s AFCON qualifier against South Africa

After the loss to Congo in Calabar on Saturday, Nigeria is expected to win or draw against the Bafana Bafana who beat Sudan in their encounter on September 5

South Africa’s coach Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba has disclosed that his boys are battle ready for Nigeria and will not consider any factor; not even the impending ban on the African champions, would distract them

Mashaba said:

Mashaba won the game on Friday from the bench after Sibusiso Vilakazi came off the burner to score a goal and an assist

Mashaba considers it a tactical winning move, one which was lacking in Nigeria’s game on Saturday

Meanwhile, Nigeria's interim coach Stephen Keshi who did not fly with the team to SA on Sunday is expected to join the them on Tuesday; in the case of his absence, assistant coach Daniel Amokachi would be in charge of the Super Eagles for the encounter
