Undefeated national lightweight champion, Oto "Joe Boy" Joseph, made true his threat as he defeated Ghana's Richard Amefu aka Desert Warrior in the eight round.

In front of a capacity crowd at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos, on Sunday, October 2, 2016, Joe Boy defeated Amefu in an unanimously decided verdict after the eight round.

Joe Boy's performance not only won him back his title and belt, he was also named the best boxer of the night at the GOtv Boxing Night 9.

To this end, he was honoured with a cash prize of N1.5million and the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy.

The victory is coming four months after he defeated Prince Nurudeen to win the award and cash prize in May 2016.

Joe Boy's recent victory has etched his name on the sands of time as winning the prized trophy and cash prize for the third time.
