<p>Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite, Chioma Goodhair, has opened up about actress Iyabo Ojo’s initial reaction to daughter Priscilla Ojo’s relationship with Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.</p>

<p><a target="_blank" class="editor-link" href="https://www.pulse.ng/articles/entertainment/celebrities/priscilla-ojo-juma-jux-wedding-details-jp2025-2025041814121592836"><strong>Priscilla and Juma got married</strong></a><strong> </strong>over the weekend in a lavish traditional and white wedding held on Friday and Saturday respectively.</p>

<p>Chioma, a close associate of Iyabo Ojo, has now taken to Instagram to give fans and well-wishers a peep into the behind scenes of how the new couple got the approval of Priscilla’s mother for their relationship.</p>

<p>According to the socialite, Priscilla and Juma’s relationship was ‘love at first sight’, adding that regardless of this Iyabo Ojo needed some convincing from her before approving of it.</p>

<p>She said, “It was one thing encouraging @its.priscy and @juma_jux on their love at first site quest but it was a whole other thing convincing Queen Mother to allow a big time Tanzanian Artist date her only daughter and prized possession Priscy.”</p>

<p>Chioma explained further that “it wasn’t easy convincing Iyabo. I remember walking all the way from Oxford (United Kingdom) circus to the end of Knightsbridge (almost 2 hours) tryna convince her.</p>

<p>“And after that she would call every other hour saying ‘but Chioma this blog said this and that blog said that’ 😭&amp; I’d say ‘but you and I Know most gossip blogs are inaccurate and unfounded.’”</p>

<p>According to Chioma, when Iyabo Ojo would eventually allow herself to be convinced, it was under the condition that “if she’s (Priscilla) gonna date him then he better be ready to marry her and I said I promise you he will (He told me he wanted to marry her on day 1)”</p>

<p>On when and how wedding plans started, “Like a joke we started planning the wedding on this call. This was August 2024. It was so funny because they had just become official bf &amp; gf and here we were speaking the actual details of a wedding into existence.</p>

<p>“Iyabo was saying they must come to Nigeria to take her and then we can do one in their country too. I was laughing at first because of how detailed she was being but then I quickly got serious because anyone who truly knows Iyabo knows how prophetic she is. Whatever she speaks with her mouth comes to pass just as she says it.</p>

<p>“Fast forward barely 3 months later we started planning an actual wedding- the #JP2025 you’ve all come To be a part of.”</p>

<p>At the wedding, it was Priscilla's biological father, Iyabo Ojo’s ex-husband, who walked their daughter down the aisle, not Iyabo’s current partner. Despite the past rift between the two, Blessing CEO pointed to this moment as an important reminder of a father’s role in his child's life, regardless of any personal differences.</p>

<h2>Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has recently weighed in on the ongoing debate about movie producers dancing and creating skits to promote their films. Her message? Times have changed, and you either evolve or get left behind.</h2>

<p>She walked us down memory lane, back to the OG days of Nollywood when producers had to promote their films by hand, literally. <i>“We’ll stay from the gates [of the National Theatre], we’ll be beating drums, dancing, singing cultural songs, trying to lure them to come and watch our own movies.”</i> Imagine a full-on parade just to get eyeballs on your movie. Now that’s hustle.</p><p>She went on to explain how producers used to tour multiple cities- Ibadan, Osogbo, Akure, and Ilorin- just to get the word out. <i>“Sometimes we do a tour. We go to Ibadan, and from Ibadan, we go to Osogbo. We go to Akure. We go to Ekiti. We go to Ilorin,” </i>she recalled.&nbsp;</p><p>All of this is just to get people into theaters. Compared to those days, she says, creating content and dancing on social media is a walk in the park.</p><p><i>"You can't bring out a movie and just put it in cinema and just expect people to watch it," </i>she said, clearly calling out the passive marketing mindset. In a media-saturated world where everyone’s attention span is shorter than a TikTok loop, Iyabo believes you have to do what it takes to stand out.</p><p>Her golden nugget of wisdom? <i>“If Coca-Cola is still running adverts back to back on their products, I wonder why I or anyone else can't use any method to run an advert and create awareness.”</i></p>

<p>Iyabo also emphasised that <i>“everybody doesn’t have to dance.” But if that’s your lane, go for it. <p>The actress who is preparing for her daughter <strong>Priscilla</strong>’s wedding to Tanzanian singer<strong> Juma Jux</strong> made the revelation during an appearance on <strong>TVC</strong>’s <i>Your View</i>.</p>

<p>Ruling out marrying the music executive, the mother of two explained that the objective of their relationship is not marriage, adding that they are both comfortable with the current arrangement.</p>

<p>Shedding more light on the dynamics of their current arrangement, the actress disclosed that anytime she feels like being alone, she leaves his house and returns to her house, and Paulo understands.</p>

<p><i>“I feel blessed,” </i>she says when asked about her life at the moment. <i>“I feel very blessed. It's God's doing. I'm grateful,”</i> she reiterates, this time emphatically.</p>

<p>For a woman who has spent over two decades in an industry that can be unforgiving, the gratitude in her voice is unmistakable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Her journey began in 1998 with an English-language film titled <i><strong>Satan</strong></i>, a time when Nollywood was still figuring itself out. She was much younger then, wide-eyed, ambitious, and, in her own words, lost most of the time.</p>

<p><i>“A lot of things happened suddenly in my life,”</i> she recalls, her voice laced with nostalgia. <i>“I was trying to navigate, making sure I kept correcting every mistake that came my way. I never blamed anyone for anything. I just took responsibility for everything and wanted to make the best of it.”</i></p>

<p>More than two decades later, she sits here, an actress, a filmmaker, a businesswoman, and a mother who has raised her children with a fierce sense of purpose.&nbsp;</p>

<p><i>“My achievement is not just monetary,”</i> she says.<i> “I don’t believe that having money in your bank account means you’ve achieved something. I feel that when you impact lives, when you change things in your society, that is a real achievement.”</i></p>

<p>She lists the things that bring her pride: raising her children with love and discipline, taking care of her parents until their last days, and supporting people who needed her, even strangers. “That’s my greatest wealth,” she says firmly. “That’s my greatest achievement.”</p>

<p>Halfway through our chat, a call comes in. She takes it with the same warmth she brings to the conversation. She is inviting someone to her daughter’s wedding, effortlessly switching between laughter and details about dates. The joy in her voice is contagious.</p>

<p>When she returns to the conversation, it is with the same intensity. Her latest project,<i> </i><a target="_blank" class="editor-link" href="https://www.pulse.ng/articles/entertainment/movies/iyabo-ojos-labake-olododo-set-for-premiere-this-march-2025031920504899200"><mark style="color: rgb(17, 85, 204); background-color: inherit;" class="pen"><i><u><strong>Labake Olododo</strong></u></i></mark></a><strong>, </strong>a major epic film, is her biggest yet.&nbsp;</p>

<p><i>“The cost of making a film now is so high,” she admits, shaking her head. “I didn’t plan for it, but thank God for the people around me. I think I’m blessed to have people who show up for me, probably because I also show up for people. You cannot walk this earth alone,”</i> she says with gratitude.</p>

<p>In the trailer for the <a target="_blank" class="editor-link" href="https://www.pulse.ng/articles/entertainment/movies/labake-olododo-movie-hits-50-million-naira-box-office-2025040111461025001">film</a>, there is a scene that has already caused a stir—she is bare, unclad, and vulnerable. She laughs when asked about it. <i>“I can't say, you have to see the movie.”&nbsp;</i></p>

<p>What she can say, though, is that her character, Labake, is a force of nature. A woman with powers beyond the ordinary, a warrior who invokes thunder and fire. It is, in many ways, a reflection of the woman sitting before me.</p>

<p><i>“The character of Labake is strong-willed,” </i>this writer tells her.<i> “Anyone who knows you knows you don’t take nonsense. It feels like you and Labake have a lot in common.”</i></p>

<p>She nods. “Yes. It was easy for me to get into the character because, like you said, it’s who I am. I’ve had this story in my head for eight or nine years. I’ve always wanted to shoot a female warrior story because I classify myself as one. But beyond that, I wanted to talk about vulnerability, about mistakes, and about the dangers of revenge and bitterness. I wanted to put all of that in one film.”</p>

<p>Her passion is evident. She speaks with the urgency of someone who has carried this story for years, waiting for the right moment to let it out into the world.</p>

<p>When we return to Labake, she sighs, as if trying to find the right words to describe all that the character means to her.&nbsp;</p>

<p><i>“It’s a whole lot,” she finally says. “I wish I could sit down and expand more, but you’ll have to watch it. I love it when we have culture and tradition in films. But I also love breaking rules; in a positive way.”</i></p>

<p><strong>Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has announced the date for her daughter Priscilla Ojo’s wedding in Nigeria.</strong></p>

<p>Last week, Priscilla and her husband, Juma Jux, a Tanzanian singer, <a target="_blank" class="editor-link" href="https://www.pulse.ng/articles/entertainment/celebrities/priscilla-ojo-gets-new-name-after-tanzania-wedding-concerns-over-fathers-absence-2025020911014272010"><strong>tied the knot in a traditional ceremony</strong></a> according to the groom’s customs and traditions.</p>

<p>Announcing the wedding date in an Instagram post, actress Iyabo Ojo also penned a heartfelt gratitude for the love she received during the traditional wedding.</p>

<p>The post which included beautiful photos of Iyabo, Priscilla, and Juma Jux taken from their civil wedding was titled &lsquo;A Heartfelt Thank You&rsquo;.</p>

<p>The actress thanked everyone who turned up for her daughter&rsquo;s wedding as she appreciated God and attributed the success of the event to him.</p>

<p>An excited Iyabo Ojo announced that the couple&rsquo;s white and traditional weddings will hold in April while the grand finale party will be held in Tanzania in May.</p>

She also reminded her of the legal repercussions of her actions.</p>

Iyabo Ojo calls out actress Lizzy Anjorin on social media for cyberstalking

<h2>Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed her regret for advocating the exhumation of late singer Mohbad’s body during the investigation into his death.</h2>

<p>Speaking during a recent interview on the <i><strong>Talk to B</strong></i> Podcast, Iyabo revealed that her initial intentions were driven by a desire for justice and clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding the singer’s demise. At the time, she did not realise that Mohabad's case would drag on as long as it did without much progress.</p>

<p>The actress explained,<i> “I wouldn’t have requested that Mohbad be exhumed if I knew his case would turn out this way. I just wanted Mohbad’s body exhumed so they could do the autopsy to find out the cause of his death. I did my best to be sure that everyone was investigated, but when they came up with different theories, DNA became more important to them,"</i> she said.</p>

<p>When Nigerian singer Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, his death came as a shock to Nigerians both home and abroad and left multitudes confused. The suddenness of his demise and the circumstances behind it led to a nationwide cry for an investigation, especially after he was hurridly buried less than two days later in a small casket.</p>

<p>However, Mohbad's father, Joseph Aloba, spoke up, stressing that he was quickly buried because he was young. He also noted that the land on which he was buried was the only property that he knew his son owned.</p>
