According to reports, YouTube has hired MTV's programming president Susanne Daniels as the vice president of its Originals division that, as the name suggests, focuses on bringing original content onto the video sharing website.

Sources say the company revealed that as part of her new role, Daniels will manage the division's development pipeline and oversee production, and will report to YouTube's content & business operations head Robert Kyncl.
