We will challenge results in KEEA - Nduom

The presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has given a strong indication that the party will challenge the results of the Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem (his home constituency).

“The KEEA is not over yet. We intend to challenge the results that are there. Some of the results that are coming from one of the traditional areas are unbelievable! Are unbelievable! – Dr Nduom repeated for emphasis.

"And so, we have called in and are examining the pink sheets and should we feel extremely dissatisfied, which we are looking that way then that result will be heading for the court. It is just not possible the kind of results that we have come from there which has tipped for now on provisional basis for the NDC candidate. We believe that our candidate who is presently number two should be the one that is declared the winner.”

The PPP’s John Sterlin looked set to become the party’s first and perhaps only Member of Parliament but appears to have lost his bid to the National Democratic Congress’s Samuel Atta Mills.

The Nduom campaign generally performed unsatisfactorily compared to pre-election projections and is set to take the third position in the presidential race with under one percent of the vote. Dr Nduom has given indication that this is his third and final attempt at the presidency.
