Pan-African business summit kicks off this week

NYFA 2015 will focus on the new dynamism in the continent, from entrepreneurs and inward investments.

 

The Fourth edition of the ‘New York Forum Africa’ sets to hold this weekend, from August 28-30, 2015 in Libreville, Gabon.

This year's forum will be focused on the energy that can be derived from Africa's human resources, energy from innovation and technology, research, development, and agriculture, rather than oil.

Speaking at the forum, will be Nobel Peace Prize-winners and Notable ex presidents; Lech Walesa, John Kufuor, Andrés Pastrana, and Leymah Gbowee.

With recent estimates that Nigeria’s crude oil will dry up in about 40 years, emphasis will be on other sources of energy that will strengthen the African economy.

It will focus on the new dynamism in the continent, from entrepreneurs and inward investment, as well as the growing energy sector.

Energies from African economy, Entrepreneurship, youths, consumers, women, Marketplace and village innovation.

The forum will also host special breakout sessions from the Climate South Initiative (CSI), focusing on alternative energy, investment, innovation, and green city strategies. In advance of Cop21 in Paris in December, CSI will offer a platform for proactive leaders (private and public sector) from the South to convene to discuss their common future as it relates to the adaptation and mitigation of climate change.

More than 1,500 business and political leaders are expected to attend, and it will be the only Pan-African business summit in 2015
