Torrential rain in central and southwest China over the weekend has left seven people dead and thousands displaced, the local governments said. In Guizhou Province, landslides killed four and two died when a building collapsed.
In Hunan Province, a landslide buried a house killing one and injuring another on Sunday. The torrential rain, which began on Wednesday, had affected 225,900 people in nine counties and cities while 42,500 have been evacuated.
