7 sustain severe burns as gas pipeline explodes in Shelby
A gas pipeline in Shelby county of Alabama has exploded on Monday, October 31, 2016 with at least seven individuals badly burnt.

According to a report by AL, fire departments from across Birmingham responded to the report of the gas line explosion that burnt over 10 acres.
It was further reported that a UAB Hospital spokesman confirmed that three patients are already at UAB while three more were being ferried down to the hospital by ambulance, and one more coming by air.
The report further revealed that at least eight subcontractors were working on the Colonial gas pipeline when it exploded.
Confirming the incidence, Shelby County's sheriff Maj. Ken Burchfield also said the Colonial has since shut down both pipelines running through the area.
