Word's most notorious drug lord recaptured

He first escaped from a maximum-security prison in 2001 when he reportedly hid in a laundry cart.

El Chapo

Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto, has announced that notorious drug lord, Joaquin Guzman, popularly known as 'El Chapo' has been captured again.

The President disclosed this on Twitter on Friday, Jan. 8. "Mission Accomplished. We have him", he wrote.

Guzman has escaped two times from Mexican custody. He first escaped from a maximum-security prison in 2001 when he reportedly hid in a laundry cart.

The second time was in 2014, when he broke out of another maximum-security prison through an underground tunnel.
