Ex-Italian prime minister's pimp bags 7-yrs jail term

A judicial inquiry established that Tarantini, supplied prostitutes for parties at the former premier’s home in 2008 and 2009.

 

Gianpaolo Tarantini, a pimp for former Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi has bagged a 7-years and 10-months jail term.

According to a report by AFP, Tarantini, who is also a businessman, was on Friday, November 13, 2015 sentenced to seven years and 10 months in prison for paying prostitutes to join parties with Berlusconi.

Tarantiniwas sentenced alongside Sabrina Beganovic, who got a 16 months jail term for being the organiser of the parties.

The scandal broke in June 2009 when a call-girl, Patrizia D’Addario, revealed details of a night in November 2008 with Berlusconi.

Prosecutors confirmed that a total of 26 young women took part in the parties for which they were paid by Tarantini but also received gifts from Berlusconi.
