4 persons injured in bloody clashes

Four persons have been injured in violent clashes between Hausas and Dagombas at the Agbogbloshie market.

 

Four persons, including a police man, have been severely wounded in clashes at the Agbogbloshie Market in Accra, Tuesday.

The Hausas and Dagombas clashed after a 2-year-old Dagomba girl defecated in an area occupied by the Hausas.

Several houses have been torched in the violence that broke out.

Police have beefed up security in the area after they managed to bring the situation under control.

There were exchanges of gun fire by persons from the two groups.

One of the police officers was reported to have been injured.

No death and arrest have been recorded.
