A victory was reportedly scored against Boko Haram yesterday, September 10, 2014, as a joint mission undertaken by soldiers and hunters led to the deaths of 70 members of the sect.

According to The Sun, the battle took place around the Michika and Madagali Local Government Areas of Adamawa State.

The insurgents reportedly ran out of ammunition during the attack and were then ambushed by the soldiers and local hunters.

A resident reportedly told The Sun that:

“We are really happy for the improvement we are experiencing today. Our youths and vigilante men ambushed and killed over 70 insurgents in our areas because they ran out of ammunition.”
