You can now schedule your cab rides 30-days before you need it!

In the six years since Uber has launched, users could only book rides just when they needed it.

The new Uber wordmark

Uber has announced a new feature that will allow users of its ride-sharing platform schedule rides in advance. It has begun a global roll-out of the feature.

However, with the new feature, users will be able to schedule anywhere from 30 minutes to 30 days before they actually need it

To use this feature, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Uber app and select UberX.

You can cancel rides any time before their rides get on the way. Uber will also send reminders 24hours and 30 minutes before your ride gets on the way so you are caught unawares.

According to a statement from Uber, the global rollout of this feature began in Seattle, US. This will completely change the way Uber users interact with the app and offer more in terms of value.

This comes following the company's aggressive expansion in Africa, where it has launched in a new African city every week for the past four weeks.
