Here are some of the reactions from users over the proposed 280 character for tweets

A number of Twitter users aren't having it with the replacement of 140 characters, and are letting their thoughts known in a cheeky way.

The company in its research findings discovered that users who tweet in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French were the ones not too satisfied with the limited character count, which is not the case with Korean, Japanese and Chinese tweets whose language can convey as much as double the amount of information in one character.

“ We want every person around the world to easily express themselves on Twitter, so we're doing something new: we're going to try out a longer limit, 280 characters, in languages impacted by cramming (which is all except Japanese, Chinese, and Korean),” a Twitter  blog post wrote.

The feature is currently being tested with a small group to get feedback even though the company feels confident about its findings and the positive impact impact it would have on the users.
