Tech giant partners with UBA to give customers free rides

A customer will have to sign up with any UBA card and enter the promo code UBARIDES, to be a part of the arrangement.

Tech giant Uber and leading commercial bank UBA have both announced a partnership which offers UBA cardholders as much as N6000 worth of free Uber rides from now till March 31.

UBA cardholders who sign up for Uber will get up to N3000 off each of their first two rides. A customer will have to sign up with any UBA card and enter the promo code UBARIDES, to be a part of the arrangement.

“It’s our pleasure to partner Uber on this initiative. We encourage all UBA cardholders to take advantage of this offer and share their UBARIDES experience," said Yinka Adedeji, UBA's Divisional Head for Digital Banking, on the partnership.

Ebi Atawodi, General Manager at Uber Lagos, in her comment, said, “This is extremely exciting for us, UBA is one of the largest banks in Nigeria and we are thrilled to be able to offer their customers a free first two rides. We look forward to further growing this partnership with UBA across Nigeria.”
