Travelbeta, a 4-month old Nigerian online travel-booking startup, closed a $2 million seed round last week.

According to a TechCabal report, the funding is coming from local investors, just 4-months since the startup kicked off.

This signifies the state of investors and their willingness to invest early and their confidence in the ecosystem.

For instance, EchoVC for instance has already made investments in three local businesses this year alone including Hotels.ng, Printivo, and AdBox.

The funding will go into partnerships that will help the company provide more services for its customers, according to the startup’s co-founder and former Konga executive, Onyekah Akumah.
