Everyone's favorite legendary phone is now available in Nigeria

Unlike the original, the new 3310 has a colored QVGA screen, a 2MP rear camera and a new version of the Snake game.

Old Vs New: Nokia 3310.

The classic Nokia 3310 was a legendary feature phone that was known for its near indestructibility and really long battery life. Oh, and there’s the legendary Snake game too.

Nokia isn’t making phones anymore these days so a company called HMD Global, which acquired the rights to manufacture Nokia phones, is responsible for this modern version of the Nokia 3310.

“We are delighted to bring the Nokia 3310 phone to our consumers in Nigeria. Nokia has been one of the most iconic and recognisable phone brands in our country for decades. HMD has received an incredible reception from our partners so far; it seems everyone shares our excitement for this next chapter,” says Joseph Umunakwe, General Manager, HMD Global, West, East and Central Africa.

“Our consumers are more discerning and demanding than ever before and for us they will always come first. We’ve worked really hard with our teams around the world to bring together world class manufacturers, operating systems and technology partners, enabling us to proudly start sales of our the Nokia 3310, a classic reimagined.”

Unlike the original, the new 3310 has a colored QVGA screen, a 2MP rear camera and a new version of the Snake game. It also has a LED torchlight, Bluetooth, a micro USB port and microSD card support (up to 32GB).

It has some interesting numbers too: Standby time of up to 31.0 days and talk time of up to 22.1 hours — which means the new phone still carries on the legendary battery life the old Nokia 3310 was known for.

Watch out for more details on the new Nokia 3310 and how it holds up in today’s smartphone when HMD Global sends Pulse Tech a unit to review. In the meantime, are you excited for the rebirth of the legendary Nokia 3310? Let us know in the comments section below.
