Facebook F8 developers' conference 2015
At this unique gathering Facebook will be sharing its latest innovations and attendees will also learn about the latest tools and products aimed at helping them create better apps.
The event usually opens with the CEO Mark Zuckerberg kicking off the conference with an opening speech. Sources say he will show attendees how Facebook's more recent purchases such as Oculus VR and WhatsApp connect to the company's goals.
Jeffrey Hammond, an analyst at Forrester Researchsays "Facebook is making some fairly serious investments, and I think part of the reason for that is so many developers are moving to building mobile apps and interactions,"
Organisers say the event recorded a huge attendance this year, because developers want to create, grow and make money from their mobile and web apps, and with Facebook's 1.4 billion users, the social network plays a large part in that success.
Some analysts are also expecting the social network to announce the release of new products including a mobile ad exchange tool that could compete with Twitter's MoPub.
Updates of the events and announcements on Facebook’s new releases will be brought to you as the event unfolds.
