New Ultra HD 4K TV is Thinner Than Your iPhone 6

4K TVs are the new craze as far as TV's are concerned with most models available today having computer-like functions.

Sony's new UHD 4K TV

Sony’s new super-thin Ultra HD 4K TV’s (UHD TV) will measure an amazing 0.2-inches at their thinnest point, which makes them slimmer than an iPhone 6, will be available later this year.

Sony has announced that it will be releasing two models of the UHD TVs: the X900C, which is 55-inches and 65-inches, and the X910C which is 75-inches.

The new TVs are designed to ‘disappear’ while you’re watching them, are virtually bezel-less, and almost run from edge-to-edge.

Sony says the UHD TVs will mount closer to walls, making them even more beautiful in living rooms. The top half of the TV is razor thin, while the bottom half (which contains the components) is relatively thicker.

As for picture quality, the 3,840 x 2, 160 resolution is amazing. The UHD Tvs have a wider displayable color range and higher brightness range, courtesy of a new X1 processor.

The X900C and X910C come with Google’s Android TV (which has the same interface available on Google’s Nexus Player set-top box); which means full access to Google Play, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Amazon Instant Video and more.

They also support Google cast, which is a feature that lets you beam content from smartphones, tablets and computers easily.

For Video gamers, the X900C comes with a PlayStation now feature which is Sony’s game streaming service. The service uses Sony’s cloud-based streaming technology to deliver PlayStation 3 Games without a game console.

Sony is yet to announce how much it will cost but it shouldn’t be any more expensive than the higher-specced models.
