Telcom company launches cattle tracking solution

MTN Livestock tracking and solar solution

Media reports reveal that MTN Nigeria has launched a Livestock Tracking Solution (LTS) to assist cattle herdsmen monitor and track their livestock wherever they are.

According to Innovation Village, the MTN Mobile Electricity Device will greatly help mitigate issues with wandering cattle and poor electricity that has been affecting a lot of communities in Nigeria. The tech company is partnering with Lumos to offer clean, modern and affordable electricity to consumers.

Innovation Village reports that President Muhammadu Buhari, while declaring the summit open, called for cooperation and partnerships between states of the federation and investors in line with the government's aim to drive the growth of local content and increase export opportunities in Nigeria.

In his remarks, Katsina State governor, Alhaji Aminu Masari, stated that the future of any state's development lay in technology. He added that the support of the private sector was crucial while pledging his government's support for any innovation that will enhance the standard of living of the residents of the state.
