Nokia Lumia gives out cars to promo winners in Lagos

The 12 winners of Microsoft's Nokia Lumia #MakeItHappen promo have claimed their prices - brand new Ford Figo cars.

Microsoft Nigeria, owner of Nokia Lumia gave out 12 brand new Ford Figo cars to winners of its just concluded #MakeItHappen promo that went on during the Christmas holiday.

The winners claimed their prizes on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Microsoft office in Victoria Island, Lagos.

At the event, most of the winners admitted that they initially doubted the credibility of the promo, and did not expect to be among the lucky ones.

Joseph Umunakwe, General Manager, Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services, West Africa in his congratulatory note said: "Lumia has connected people to brand new cars and aims to empower consumers to achieve more with their mobile devices."

Also addressing the winners and journalists in attendance, Olumide Balogun, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services, West Africa said, "We are very happy to be empowering our consumers to do more, both with our Lumia range of devices and at the same time, offering unrivalled experience that will afford them an opportunity to own brand new cars, which you will agree improves their mobility and increases their ability to be more productive likewise work and play effectively."

Though some of the winners came from different parts of Nigeria and were exhausted after their journey, they left with smiles on their faces as they became proud owners of brand new cars.
