Tech giant offers charity organizations $5000 worth of services in new campaign

Microsoft will make $5,000 worth of Azure credit available for Non-profit organizations annually.

Microsoft, has restated a commitment to empowering every organization and individual on the planet to achieve more with the launch of a new Modern Non-profit campaign at Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Modern Non-profit campaign is a move by Microsoft to empower Non-profit organizations through free donations of Microsoft cloud technologies for better innovation and efficiency in their various commitments.

Welcoming participants, Philanthropies Lead, Microsoft Nigeria, Olusola Amusan noted that Non-profit organizations are key to the development of Nigeria, the African Continent and the world at large, and this singular fact prompted Microsoft to devise better means to support people whose works are very essential to the advancement of the society.

In his own words, “We are always innovating on how best to support non-profit organizations, especially those whose works go beyond the office. This is why we launched Modern Non-profit campaign and we hope to help you innovate better both in the office and on the field, achieve more collaborations within your teams and ultimately change your stories for good using Microsoft cloud technology.”

Amongst Microsoft cloud technologies non-profits can freely explore under the Modern Non-profit campaign are Office 365, which helps with real-time tracking and multiple authoring for your board reports; Power BI, which gathers and processes private and sensitive constituent information in one, stunningly visualize data on interactive dashboards and presentations; Enterprise Mobility Suite,  which keeps files and emails secure; and Microsoft Azure.

In addition, under the Modern Non-profit initiative, Microsoft will make $5,000 worth of Azure credit available for Non-profit organizations annually.

Confirming this, Amusan said “Earlier in the year, Microsoft announced a commitment of $1bn in cloud donations around the world. Through the Modern Non-profit, annual $5000 Azure credit is available for non-profit organizations to freely explore and they can renew this every year.”

Non-profit organizations seeking to explore Microsoft Modern Non-profit donations must meet Non-profit Organization Eligibility, Non-profit Mission Eligibility and Anti-discrimination policy.
