As part of the Lagos State Government’s strides to provide an improved transportation system for the state, LAMATA is adding 434 new high capacity air-conditioned buses to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.
To this end LAMATA, in a bid to raise public awareness for the bus launch as well as the newly added Mile 12 – Ikorodu route which the buses will be plying, ran a background page takeover campaign on the Pulse.ng homepage, to aid in further spreading the word.
In the following hours after the campaign the LAMATA website is down. As at press time it is assumed that the site is getting so much traffic that it has run out of bandwidth.
Three bus terminals at Mile 12, Agric and Ikorodu; one state-of-the-art depot at Majidun with capacity to accommodate over 400 buses, 15 bus shelters and six pedestrian bridges, among others are some of the infrastructure which the government and LAMATA will be completing to ease traffic and provide jobs for thousands of people.
LAMATA is yet to comment on what may be responsible for the issues the site is currently facing. Pulse Tech will keep you updated on how events play out.
