To help make that life changing decision, a young startup in Estonia is helping people get temporary jobs in foreign countries.

Jobbatical is a job site specifically aimed at skilled professionals who want to try their hand at working in another country. The site presently focuses on IT-related work, with temporary jobs ranging from 6-12 months.

Already six months into its beta period, the app currently offers applicants option of about 400 jobs in numerous countries.

According to founder, Karoli Hindriks, demand already outweighs supply, with the website already having thousands of job seekers on its community. The site already has 600 employer accounts but not all of them have posted job openings.

Traditional employers are tech startups and social enterprises with Asia being an ideal destination for most of the sites early users. Singapore is the country with the most job openings, followed by Hong Kong. Other popular choices include Malaysia, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand, India, and Indonesia.

"When you are sitting somewhere in Northern Europe or Canada, then working in a startup on a tropical island is like a dream!" says Hindriks.

Beyond just posting jobs, Jobbatical also offers a shortlisting service where it does the employing vetting process on behalf of the employer.
