Apple's flagship smartphone officially launched in Nigeria

The event was hosted by Noble Igwe of 360nobs and notable online personality CuteKimani.

For most Nigerians, Friday the 27th of November was the best day to buy anything in all the major stores around the country. However, this Black Friday was extra exciting for tech geeks in Nigeria as Redington Nigeria Limited put together a bloggers event to officially launch the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus phones in Nigeria.

Leading the Redington Nigeria Team was Mr. Stanley Igbinovia, Head – Retail & Operator Business, Telecom, alongside  Mr. Jim Mathews, Vice President, Redington gulf and Mr. Sunil Pangtey – Marketing Manager, Africa.

Also present to support the Redington Nigeria team were representatives from authorized retailers for Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6s plus Slot Nigeria, Pointek Limited, Micro Station and Dallas Communications Limited.

Bloggers were encouraged to experience the phones’ features and demos were put up to tell the story of Apple iPhone 6s and 6s plus.

The official launch was triggered through #iPhone6sNigeria in the social space.

The Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus both have major changes on the inside including 3D touch – next generation multi touch – first time ever done on a smart phone, Live Photos, A9 Processor – most advanced Apple chip yet, 7000 Series Aluminum alloy body, Advanced Touch ID for better security & Faster LTE and Wifi. All these truly living up to its tag line of “The only thing that’s changed is everything”.
