Tech giant announces connected home device to take on Amazon Echo

At the annual Google I/O event which held yesterday, Google announced a hardware device that will work with its Assistant, which was also launched at the same event yesterday.

The device will Google's entry into the voice-activated connected home device market. It is a voice-activated product that brings the Google Assistant into anywhere in your home.

It can select music or movies for you, manage everyday tasks, and get answers for you from Google - all using conversational speech.

According to Google, with a simple voice command, you can ask Google Home to play a song, set a timer for the oven, check your flight, or just turn on your lights.
