Konga boss partners with CC-Hub, ex-amazon exec to launch ride-sharing app

The aim is to provide a solution to the transportation problem in various parts in Africa via a people-powered transportation network.

GoMyWay hopes to redefine how people travel in Nigeria.

GoMyWay is a ride-sharing marketplace connecting passengers with ride owners going along the same route and have empty seats to spare.

In addition, GoMyWay helps protect the environment by reducing carbon emissions as well as reducing traffic congestion in big cities. The platform launched in Nigeria on the 10th of June and will be launching in a few other African countries soon.

Compared to public transport, GoMyWay offers the cheapest, fun and most convenient way to travel across the country or within a city. Based on a formula that takes into account travel costs (e.g fuel costs), the platform suggests a fee that car owners can charge their co-travelers. Passengers pay the stated amount to the car owner.

Asides helping both passengers and car owners save more, verified members get to make new friends, meet potential business partners and conveniently arrive at their destination.

There are four(4) verification levels in place for all members: Facebook, Phone number, Email and Valid ID. There is also member ratings/reviews as well as a dedicated support team to monitor activities on the platform. Co-travelers are free to contact car owners of their choice, and in turn, car owners can accept or decline requests.

To kick off, car owners can win One whole month's fuel cost  by offering their city to city rides on the platform. What To Do: Go to gomyway.com , click the "offer a ride" button , Enter ride details and publish. Three(3) winners will be announced weekly via Twitter and Facebook

GoMyWay is funded by Angel investors with years of experience: Sim Shagaya (CEO/Founder, Konga), Co-creation Hub and Bill Paladino (Ex-amazon and Naspers executive).
