Social media platforms do not provide opportunities for goofing around and executing anonymous idiocy. If you think that is what there are meant for, you're tempting fate.
Social media accounts are not for anonymous idiocy, messing around
Those who have yet to realize that the social media have evolved into something more important than playgrounds are making the same mistake some people made when the Internet age began in Europe. They dismissed the ‘www-thing’, until it was late and their companies were preyed on.
In reality, they are more than that.

Have you thought about the fact that billion $ companies exist as, on and for social media alone? Do you also realize that while the average social media enthusiast trolls and goofs around, other entrepreneurs are smiling to the bank with 7-figure dollar pay-outs?
Another important thing is the networking opportunities presented by social media like Facebook where you have access to people of different social circles simply because you have a mutual connection.
That is why it is sad to note that many people have thrown away connections and opportunities through avoidable social media idiocy.
Others have missed out on big jobs because they did not know that many employers now investigate prospective employees' social media accounts to understand their personalities.
You are also open to other risks by being a social media nuisance — crimes committed on these platforms can have a bearing on your life in the real world, with the possibility of being dragged before the law or being hunted by an aggrieved person.
It is time for you to wake up and see that social media accounts are not for messing around.
The earlier this is realized, the better.
