Silicon Valley CEO dies while on vacation with wife

David Goldberg was survived by his wife Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, and two children.

Silicon Valley has lost yet another big shot. The CEO of SurveyMonkey- David Goldberg, who incidentally is the husband to another of the valley’s top shot, Sheryl Sandberg, is dead.

Sheryl is the COO of Facebook. She was on vacation with her husband, when this sad event occurred.

Top Silicon Valley CEO’s including Mark Zuckerberg, have sent their condolences to the family. In an online post, the Facebook CEO, said that Goldberg “was an amazing person and I am glad I got to know him.”

SurveyMonkey’s official statement reads 'we are all heartbroken.'

New York Times describe Goldberg as a wise crack who always joked saying he was the less significant one, compared to his wife,

Apparently he has been a power broker in Silicon Valley for a while. Sources say his first startup, Launch media, and online music provider, was bought by Yahoo in 2001.

Goldberg was survived by his wife Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, and two children.
