The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has charged Valérie Gignac a 27 year old female hacker from Saint-Alphonse-de-Rodriguez, Canada for spying.

She was charged to court for allegedly remotely controlling people’s computers, using her victim's webcams to spy on them and also harassing them.

Constable Philippe Gravel of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) integrated technological crime unit said “She spoke with them, she interacted with them. She showed them some pornography on the screen just to see how they would react.”

Investigators say Gignac used her online hacking forum with over 35,000 users worldwide to gain access and eavesdrop on people’s private conversations.
