New operating system, 10.3.1.1565 officially available worldwide

The update brings a whole range of new features and enhancements to the BlackBerry 10 experience.

BlackBerry has officially released a new operating system, 10.3.1.1565 to all the other BlackBerry 10 devices asides the BlackBerry Classic which launched with BlackBerry 10.3.1.

According to BlackBerry, the new OS will be available to customers around the world starting today in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific for the entire line of smartphones running BlackBerry 10.

This announcement is mostly significant for older BlackBerry 10 smartphones as this is the first major update since OS 10.2.1 last year.

investigations reveal that the updates are from 600MBs to over 1GB which will make downloading with a WIFI network better.

On the BlackBerry Passport with the last official 10.3 update, 10.3.1.1565 is about 470MB.

On Blackberry Q5s, Q10s, Z3s, Z30s and Z10s with the last official 10.2.1 update, the 10.3.1.1565 is between 998MB and 1.4GB.

The update brings a whole range of new features and enhancements to the BlackBerry 10 experience. It comes with a new compressed user interface, Blackberry assistant, new android player, advanced interactions, a battery saving mode and a host of other features.
