Apple Laughs to the Bank as New iPhones Sell 9 Million Units in 3 Days

Apple is breaking all kinds of records while also proving critics wrong after it has sold a record-breaking 9 million units of the new iPhone 5s and 5c in 3 days. The phones which were released last Friday to long queues in various cities across the world sold nearly twice the amount the iPhone 5 did in its first 3 days of release last year which was 5 million units.

Upon announcement, the new iPhones had been met with mostly negative feedback for its less than stellar features especially compared to other leading smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One. Also, the fingerprint sensor which Apple touted as the iPhone's most remarkable feature had been met with much criticism with reports eventually breaking yesterday that a group of German Hackers known as the Chaos Computer Club had hacked the new iPhone fingerprint sensor.

In spite of this, Apple has managed to skirt through the lacklustre response and surprise even itself with the sales figures as reports have it that the California based company has had to tweak its financial forecast to reflect the higher sales. Apple surpassed sales figures which Wall Street analysts had predicted earning a record-breaking weekend in sales and toppling the total sales record of both the HTC One and Samsung S4 in its opening weekend.
