Heartbreak! Latest flagship Apple smartphone may not be released full scale until 2018

Look on the bright side, you get to save that $999, and maybe spend that money on something worthwhile.

In his latest report, KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a great track record reporting on Apple products, says he expects Apple to ship fewer iPhone X smartphones that previously projected.

"Due to supply constraints, we expect market demand won't be fully met before 1H18," Kuo wrote in his report sent to MacRumors.

This of course puts an exception to those who were able to pre-order successfully the phone. Those ones will get their iPhone X by November 3, 2017, the initially announced  launch day.

Apple has turned to OLED screens for its phone display which is manufactured majorly by its  competitor-Samsung. The company is now looking elsewhere to boost production of the screens.

Another reason floating around to explain reason why the iPhone X might have a delayed release is that Apple doesn’t also want to overshadow the sales prospects of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus which are due out on Friday September 22, 2017.

So look on the bright side, you get to save that $999, and maybe spend that money on something more valuable.
