Whatsapp, Google Drive, and Android collaboration

This feature has been added to the new version-WhatsApp v2.12.45 for Android


Respite has come to Whatsapp users who have been demanding for space to save their conversations.

The collaboration between Whatsapp and Google Drive will afford  over 800 million Whatsapp users the opportunity to back up all their conversations on Google Drive.

This feature has been added to the new version-WhatsApp v2.12.45 for Android.

Old users will need to update to the latest version and choose the option to take a backup to Google Drive in the chat settings tab.

After that, log in with your Gmail credentials and sync data with the Google Drive you want to save your chats to.

The latest version can be downloaded directly from the Whatsapp website. It is not available on the Android Play Store yet.
