Microsoft reduces price of Surface 3 for students

The customised tablets will only be made available to educational institutions.

Surface 3 tab

In line with the decision of most tech companies  (HP and Acer) to come out with a back to school line-ups, Microsoft has announced it offering.

The tech giant announced recently that it will be coming out with a customised and affordable version of the Surface 3 tablet for students and schools.

Microsoft says it will not announce the price for the customised tablets yet, but it is sure to give out a discount of 10%, in addition to its subsidised price.

The customised tablets will only be made available to educational institutions.

Industry experts say this is part of Microsoft’s strategy of selling the surface 3 tab as a better alternative to using paper. A Surface Pen for digital inking and drawing will also be included in the subsidised version of the Surface 3 tablet.
