Nigerian furniture marketplace, Showroom.ng, owned by former Konga exec Sheriff Shittu, has reportedly landed seed funding from local investors.

According to a TechCabal report, the size of the investment is currently unknown but the company states that it is in the 7-figure range (Naira).

“We are glad we have additional fuel in our engine to power on,” said Sheriff, according to the report.

“We understand the enormous pressure our growth is bringing on our ability to meet up with our commitment, reason for seeking additional funding to make sure we can pursue our goal of building a one-stop destination for home and office furniture you can rely on,” he added.

Shittu started Showroom.ng earlier in 2015. Before that he was a business analyst at Konga, and COO of Zima Fashion, an e-commerce store where he still remains in an advisory capacity.
