Landlords in the Uk say the new bill will deter people illegal immigrants from staying in the country without the relevant documents.

The National Landlord’s Association, through its spokesperson has stated that it is pleased with a new proposal that empowers them to evict illegal immigrants.

According to Richard Lambert, National Landlord’s Association, CEO, “We are, however, a little concerned regarding the Right to Rent scheme. Landlords are happy to help to check that tenants are who they claim to be. However this should not be a way for the Government to pass the buck on to landlords when tacking illegal immigration.”
