‘Ex-governor doesn’t want Fashola to achieve more than him,’ OPC leader says

The leader of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Gani Adams also stated that the smear campaign against Fashola would backfire.

The leader of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Gani Adams has accused former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu of being behind the attacks on his successor, Babatunde Fashola.

Adams also stated that the smear campaign against Fashola would backfire.

The OPC leader made the comments during an interview with Naij.

He said:

“Tinubu’s problem is that, if Fashola becomes Chief of staff or minister, he knows he has achieved more than him. Tinubu knows he can’t be named chief of staff; he has rated himself above that office.”

“It is either the vice president or senate president, but he does not have such opportunity and Fashola is ready to serve as either the Secretary to the State Government or chief of staff or a minister.”

“And Tinubu has realized that once Fashola gets appointment at the federal level, he (Fashola) will get more political patronage than him. I know Tinubu’s tactics.”

Fashola has recently been accused of spending N78 million on a website and N139M on two boreholes.
