According to several media sources, Senate President, Bukola Saraki was attacked at the eid praying ground where he went to observe his Eid prayer on Thursday 24th of September.

To refute this, the Media Office of The Senate President released a statement saying the Senate President "was never attacked nor was there any attempt made on his life to warrant him being 'whisked away".

However, a video posted on the Youtube Channel of Saharatv shows people chanting 'ole' which translates to thief.

At some point in the video, projectiles are seen flying in the direction of the officials vehicles.

Someone is heard saying, "Nkan ti Bukola se o daa. Ole ni Bukola" (What Bukola did is not good. Bukola is thief) at about 1:50 in the video.

Teargas is seen being deployed to disperse protesters.

According to the statement by the Media Office, "The protest was never targeted at him; neither was any missile hurled at him."

However, the statement says there was a protest by local government employees which hoodlums tried to hijack. (READ STATEMENT HERE)

Based on the statement, the supposed hoodlums in the video appear to be well-dressed for eid prayer and large in number.

No statement has been released by the Media Office regarding this video.
