Officials of the Imo State government have been arrested by the Police on Saturday, March 28.
Governor confirms arrest of government officials
The State Commissioners of Information and Strategy Engr. Chidi Ibe, former Commissioner for Public Utility and head of Security were arrested.

According to Daily Trust, the State Commissioners of Information and Strategy Engr. Chidi Ibe, former Commissioner for Public Utility and head of Security were arrested.
The Senior Special Assistant to the state governor, Rochas Okorocha, Sam Onwuemeodo was also arrested.
It was gathered that Barrister Okechukwu Okorocha (not a relative of the Governor) but believed to be his SSA on security matter was reportedly arrested for being in possession of a fire arm.

Barrister Okorocha, who is the head of the state vigilante group, is said to have disobeyed the police order that the group should disarm during the election period.
The state Governor was reported to have confirmed the arrests.
It was learnt that two of the officials have been discharged, but the reason for their arrest is unclear.
