Suspected SARS operatives kill 25-year-old voter in Gokana

The victim was said to have come out to vote when armed men believed to be SARS stormed the election venue.

The victim, identified as Meebara Kormaga, was said to have come out to vote when he met his untimely death.

Armed men  suspected to be operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) reportedly stormed Saint Pius College and ordered everyone to lie down, as they began to shoot sporadically.

Kormaga was hit during the shooting.

The gunmen were said to have carted away some election materials in the process.

Reports put the time of the incident at 11;45am.
