However, unlike Wike, Ishaku was sacked from office as Aisha Alhassan was pronounced the new governor and winner of the election.

Current opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party have been hit with yet another sack on Saturday, November 7, 2015, hence need for an urgent meeting.

In a report by The Tribune, the leadership of the political party held a crucial meeting in the party's secretariat in Abuja as the news of the sack of the Taraba State governor hit town.

Gov. Ishaku had been sacked by the election petition tribunal barely two weeks after his counterpart in Rivers State, was sacked by an election tribunal.

The report further revealed that the party leadership are held meeting with major stakeholders in attendance so as to discuss and decide on the next line of action over the judgment.
