APGA wins 21 local governments with 234,071 votes - INEC

Obiano was declared the winner of Anambra state governorship election having totaled 234,071 votes in 21 local governments.

The results of the election was announced on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the collation centre in Awka.

In the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, Obiano won in all 21 local government areas with a total of 234, 071 votes.

Obiano, who is the incumbent governor of Anambra State, defeated Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oseloka Obaze of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and Osita Chidoka of United Progressive Party (UPP).

The APGA candidate secured 234,071 votes while Nwoye came second with 98,752 votes and Obaze placed third, garnering 70,593 votes.

Osita Chidoka was fourth, securing 7,746 votes.

The election had 37 governorship candidates who sought to govern Anambra.
