The daughter of former Delta State Governor, James Ibori has won the Ethiope West Constituency seat in the state House of Assembly.

Erhiatake Ibori, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, was declared winner of the election on Sunday, April 12, 2015.

She won a total of 32,700 votes, to beat her main opponent, Edirin Ajueshi Ejidiran of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who won 1,429 votes.

The older Ibori was the governor of the state from 1999 to 2007 and is currently serving a jail term for money laundering in the UK.
