Nigeria Elections 2015 Former APC member killed in Osun following defection to PDP

One person has been reportedly killed as violence breaks out in a part of Osun State.

As the Presidential and National Assembly elections are ongoing in all 36 states of the Federation, violence have been recorded  in some parts of the country, including Ikirun area of Osun State where suspected political thugs reportedly shot dead a strong member of the People's Democratic Party  (PDP).

According to New Telegraph, the deceased, identified as Yomi Ademola, was a strong member of the All Progressives Congress  (APC) before defecting to the PDP.

The incident occured at Idi-oro, Ikirun in the early hours of Saturday, March 28.

Reports say Ademola's killing is not unconnected to his defection to the PDP.

Three people have however been arrested in connection to the shooting.
