National Assembly Crisis Femi Gbajabiamila accepts defeat

House of Representatives member, Femi Gbajabiamila also said that the will of God had been done as regards the leadership of the House.

House of Representatives member, Femi Gbajabiamila has accepted being defeated in the Speakership elections by fellow legislator, Yakubu Dogara.

Gbajabiamila also said that the will of God had been done as regards the leadership of the House.

The lawmaker made the comments via Twitter on Friday, June 12, 2015.

Gbajabiamila had initially been chosen as the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the election during a mock poll but he was defeated by Dogara who went ahead to contest despite being expressly excluded by the party.
