Vice-President Namadi Sambo has followed President Goodluck Jonathan’s lead by begging Nigerians for forgiveness.

Sambo and his wife, Amina made the plea on Monday, May 18, 2015, to anyone they might have offended during their tenure.

The VP and his wife spoke in Abuja during a valedictory meeting with their supporting staff, at Aguda House.

“Whether in government or outside government, we will continue to contribute towards the development of the country. And also, we have enjoyed working together and we have become one family with our staff and we assure them that we shall always be there for them,” Sambo said.

“Also, we pray that all those that we have offended during this period, we beg for their forgiveness and we forgive all those that have done anything wrong to us,” he added.

Jonathan had, on Sunday, May 17, urged anyone he might have offended to forgive him saying himself and his aides did things they shouldn’t have done.
