Senate approves President’s request to appoint 15 advisers

The Senate has approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for the appointment of 15 senior advisers.

Buhari sent the request to the upper legislative house on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.

The approval was given today, June 3, after the President’s letter was read by Senate President, David Mark who it was addressed to.

Buhari is expected to name some of his senior staff, including his choice for Chief of Staff, today.

Reports have it that the President might appoint former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola to fill the position.
