Muhammadu Buhari Over 50 presidents to attend President-elect's inauguration

The Federal Government has said that more than 50 presidents and top government officials globally will attend the inauguration of the incoming President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub- Committee of the Presidential Inauguration Planning Committee, Chief Edem Duke, stated this to newsmen in Abuja on Friday, May 22.

In preparations for the one week programme inauguration programme, Duke said the government has dispatched invitation cards to all the 54 countries in the African continent and other countries of the world.

According to him, activities marking the ceremony will begin on Friday, May 29 with a Special Jummu’at Prayers held at the National Mosque, Abuja.

He added that maximum security is being put in place to ensure a smooth transition of government.
