Ribadu Joins Adamawa Governorship Race

The Former EFCC Chairman has reportedly picked up a nomination form for the elections

Barely 2 days after his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) was announced, the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu has officially joined the race for the governorship of Adamawa.

This was confirmed when a political associate, Alhaji Hamidu Mahmud, picked up the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form on Ribadu’s behalf.

Mahmud said:

“Yes, we have applied. The framers of the PDP Constitution didn’t insert a waiver clause in anticipation of Ribadu.“ He is expected to enjoy it and we are awaiting the directive of the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC).”
